Photorejuvenation is a technique that uses high intensity light to target unwanted discolorations in your skin. Depending on your treatment, the light frequency can be changed to target hemoglobin (red blood cells) or melanin (brown pigment). In either case, the light damages the unwanted discolorations, and the damaged cells break apart and are then reabsorbed by the body. You are left with clean and clear skin.

Laser Photorejuvenation

Photorejuvenation can also be used to stimulate activity in cells buried deep below the surface of your skin. After stimulation, these cells begin to produce more collagen, which is the natural agent that keeps your skin looking tight, clear, and healthy.

Photorejuvenation is typically used to treat:
  • dyschromia
  • rosacea
  • melasma
  • acne
  • age spots
  • vascular
  • pigmented lesions
  • rhytides
What to expect:

The treatment is consistent with most laser treatments. You will sit on a comfortable chair and we will clean the treatment area and then provide you with protective goggles. We will then apply gel that both sooths the skin and allows the laser to glide more easily. The treatment is quick, relatively painless, and requires no recovery time.

You will see significant improvements after just one visit, but deep discoloration can take between 3-5 treatments before you will see the full effect. Immediately after treatment, you can expect your skin to be slightly pinker for about a day, and brown spots or discolorations will likely darken at first before they dim or flake away.
