MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion is a powerful exfoliating procedure, designed to remove the dead or thickened outer layers of skin. Microdermabrasion helps to renew the complexion by improving tone and texture while promoting cellular turn over. Microdermabrasion is an excellent solution for eliminating blackheads, improving clogged pores, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles and preparing skin to absorb skin care products and moisturizers more readily.
Using a handheld diamond-tipped wand and suction, our technician will exfoliate the skin. The procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes and requires no downtime.
MEDICAL MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling (sometimes referred to as collagen induction therapy) is a non-surgical, minimally-invasive medical aesthetic procedure used to improve the tone and texture of the skin. Southern Dermatology offers the SkinPen®, with FDA clearance for medical-grade microneedling.
This procedure uses sterile micro-needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. This intentional "trauma" triggers cellular turnover and stimulates the body's healing system to produce two proteins; collagen and elastin. Additional collagen and elastin help the skin look tighter and more youthful.
Microneedling can help reduce scarring from acne and trauma, reduce pore size, reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, minimize the signs of sun damage and discoloration, including hyperpigmentation from melasma, and replaces volume lost to aging. Microneedling can also help the efficacy of medical-grade skin care products as it allows for better absorption.

CHEMICAL PEELS
TCA PEEL
TCA peels use non-toxic trichloroacetic acid to remove the damaged, outer layers of your skin; revealing a smoother, brighter, more evenly toned complexion. Usually, TCA peels are applied in light-to-medium-strength concentrations, however, your provider will determine the strength best for your skin type and concerns.
Applying TCA to the skin causes the top layers of cells to dry up and peel off over several days to one week. Once the old skin has peeled off, a new layer of undamaged, smoother, and more even-toned skin is revealed.
MANDELIC ACID PEEL
Our Mandelic Acid Peel (40%) is ideal for the treatment of skin prone to intermittent and persistent redness. Mandelic acid is a go-to anti-aging treatment in the world of skincare. It works to accelerate cellular turnover by dissolving the tiny bonds that hold skin cells together; helping to remove dead skin on the surface that can lead to dull complexions, as well as fine lines. This peel helps to improve skin color, tone, pore size, and texture; revealing a healthy, glowing complexion.
GLYCOLIC ACID PEEL
Our Glycolic Acid peel (30%) effectively removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells from the complexion, revealing brighter, fresher-looking skin. Glycolic acid is often used for the treatment of scarring, mild photo-damage (sun damage), and skin discoloration (hyperpigmentation). This peel improves skin smoothness, general signs of aging, and fine lines and wrinkles. Skin feels softer and looks more youthful after this peel.

The Perfect Derma™ Peel is a safe and effective medium-depth peel containing beneficial products including; TCA, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Kojic Acid, Phenol, Glutathione and Vitamin C.
